Men Up North (MUN) is a local organisation providing talking and support groups for men. Their mission is to normalise honest conversations on male mental health and masculinity in the North of England.
Informal Meet-ups
MUN provide an informal space for men to get together and support each other and grow their community. The groups are small groups, open to new people and led by volunteers. Their regular groups include:
- Can We Talk?: These are a safe space for men to share how they are feeling, listen to others, and feel part of a community. Can We Talk meet on the 1st and 3rd Wednesday of the month, 7-9pm at AALFY, 108 The Moor, Sheffield, S1 4PD
- Leisurely Walk and Talk: A walk aimed at all fitness levels and is more about the walking and talking than just walking. The Walk and Talk sessions are on the 1st and 3rd Sunday of the month 10:30am – 1:30pm. They meet at the Hunters Bar roundabout entrance to Endcliffe Park
Men Up North Meetups are a safe space for men to have honest, open, non-judgmental discussions related to mental health. Please note, this is not group therapy.
MUN also offer:
- Regular allotment group, retreats, bushcraft and mindful calligraphy sessions. (new activities are added based on the requests of the community)
- One off events
- Dads in Business
