Leisurely Walk and Talk is a group run by Men Up North, who run informal meet ups for men. These are a safe space for men to share how they are feeling, listen to others, and feel part of a community.
When: The 1st and 3rd Sunday of the month 10:30am – 1:30pm
Where: Hunters Bar roundabout entrance to Endcliffe Park
The walk is aimed at all fitness levels and is more about the walking and talking than just walking.
Typically they walk up to Forge Dam cafe, have a break then walk back down to the starting point. Depending on weather and fitness levels they have the option of going further from Forge Dam.
You are not required to sign up to join the meet up. They are informal and run by volunteers. They are not coaching sessions or group therapy but are still a safe place to share, listen and gain an understanding of the different issues faced by men regarding mental health, and what it means to be a man in the present day.
