Recovery College Online provides a range of free, co-created educational courses and resources for anyone aged 13 and over who may be struggling with their mental health.
The platform is designed to help individuals, their families, friends, and mental health professionals learn more about wellbeing and the journey of recovery.
The College aims to be more educational than clinical, empowering students to become “experts in their own self-care.” All content is co-produced by mental health professionals and people with lived experience of mental health challenges.
What the Recovery College Online offers
- E-Learning Courses: A variety of self-paced online modules covering topics such as understanding specific diagnoses, managing negative thoughts, sleep and wellbeing, and building resilience.
- Information and Resources: A range of information and tools around mental health including: an A-Z of mental health diagnoses; a who’s who of mental health professionals; practical wellbeing tools/advice; personal stories to help others feel less alone in their experiences; information for parents/carers.
- Resources for Young People: Dedicated sections for young people (13-18), including support for exam stress and navigating mental health services. There is also a section relating to children (under 12).
There is no cost, however while many resources can be viewed immediately, most full e-learning courses require you to register for a free account to track your progress.
Recovery College Online has been developed by the Tees, Esk and Wear Valleys NHS Foundation Trust. It is an open-access resource, so anyone in the UK (and worldwide) can access the materials.
