Grow is a youth development charity working with those aged 16-24 who are not in employment, education or training (NEET). They combine coaching with nature based projects that aim to help combat isolation, boost wellbeing and develop employability skills.

They currently run 2 main programmes:

Grow Training

Grow Training is a 4 week employability programme designed to support you in taking your next steps towards work or training. In addition to employability skills the programme also shares tools to promote your wellbeing. They meet three times a week and do a mixture of group training sessions, 1:1s and practical nature-based work experience sessions.

After completing the training programme, every trainee is offered the chance to interview for their paid work placement, Grow Employment (see below).

Grow Employment

Grow Employment is a 10-week paid work experience programme for young people who need support to build confidence, develop practical skills, and form positive working habits. It’s designed for young people facing challenges such as poor mental health, limited social connections, or other barriers to employment.

To access Grow Employment you need to first complete the Grow Training programme (see above).

Trainees work part‑time with one of Grow’s approved employer partners and earn while learning. They aim to develop practical gardening work experience while also learning essential skills beneficial to their wider employability, such as time-management, resilience, communication, problem solving and teamwork.
