The Family, Adult and Community Education Service (FACES), part of Sheffield City Council, delivers adult learning courses in community settings across Sheffield for people aged 19 years and over.
FACES provide a learning environment that focuses on the learner, with small class sizes and friendly, expert tutors. Their courses support adults to gain essential skills for everyday life and work – from digital know-how to personal development, independence, wellbeing, and opportunity.
They provide a range of workshops and courses aimed at improving mental health and well being, including:
• Craft and Calm – Relax and explore your creativity.
• Healthy Mind, Healthy You – Build resilience and wellbeing.
• The Healing Herb Garden – Discover herbs and their benefits.
• Growth Mindset/Mindfulness – Develop positive thinking habits.
• Personal Development – Learn skills to build confidence and set goals for own development.
• Mental Health and Wellbeing – Understand mental wellbeing and how to support yourself and others.

Courses are run at various locations around the city. Click here for a course location map. Courses are free for adults on means-tested benefits or a low income.
