Nature Natter is an all-outdoors, all-weather group for people to come and spend time in the woods, chat and do activities based on bush craft, nature connection and creativity.

The groups is run via Heeley Trust which is a community charity working in Heeley and Gleadless. They prioritise people in the area then open up any spaces left to anyone living in Sheffield.

The group is about 8-10 people max, people can come each week or come when they can.

The session starts with a check in if people want to say anything – its informal and you don’t need to say anything at all.

Activities could be in a group or individual like making a shelter together, cooking on the fire, gathering wild food or weaving with natural materials, wood carving, fire lighting and identifying trees and plants. They do lots of different things and people can suggest ideas that go into planning future sessions. No experience is necessary.

At some point you’ll have a cuppa and a snack. There is a check out at the end of the session – reflecting on the session in some way.

Nature Natter is on Tuesdays 11am – 1pm and runs in 6 week blocks and it is necessary to book a place in advance.

Speak to Charlie Hill (Health Projects Coordinator) for more info and to book on Tel: 07950 645288 or 0114 399 1070, or email E: [email protected]

If the course is full you’ll have the chance to join their waiting list and they will contact you next time it runs.

Buses: 47/48  or 10A to Newfield Green , then a 10min walk to the bottom of Bankwood Close, S14 1LW
