Acctivate is a club meeting on Saturdays for autistic children aged 5-12. Current activities include computers, board games, lego, art, outdoor fun and a sensory room.
The club is run by Autistic Children and Carers Together (ACCT), which is a parent-led support group for autistic young people and their families.
Children aged 5+ can stay without their parents or carers once ACCT staff have registered their details and support needs.
Up to 30 children can attend each session. They have a waiting list should the clubs be full so you can text or call on the day of the club to check availability.
When: Every Saturday 9:45am – 12:15pm (apart from two weeks over Christmas)
Where: Pavilion and Garden Rooms, St Mary’s Church Community Centre, Bramall Lane, S2 4QZ
In order to attend, you need to have been referred to ACCT by Sheffield City Council. To be referred, you should request an application form by contacting the SNIPS Team at Sheffield City Council on 0114 273 5368 or email [email protected]. Once the referral form has been received a member of the SNIPS team will contact you.
Please note: events may not be running on bank holidays and over the Christmas period. Please double check with the organiser (before attending) if you are unsure.
