Stroke Association supports those who have suffered strokes to make the best recovery they can as well as long term support to stroke survivors, carers and their families.

The Stroke Association run a helpline 6 days a week T: 0303 303 3100. The helpline is available:

  • Monday – Friday: 9am – 5pm
  • Saturday: 10am – 1pm
  • Sunday: Closed

If the helpline is closed, you can email [email protected] or use the Stroke Association out of hours contacts.

If you think that you or someone you know is having a stroke, always use the FAST test and call 999 immediately.

Sheffield Stroke Recovery Service

As well as providing information, resources and advice on their website, the Stroke Association provides the Stroke Recovery Service in Sheffield for survivors of strokes, carers or families. Their team can help develop an individualised recovery plan, and provide you with the advice and information you need to get practical and emotional support.
