Sheffield Hearing Voices Network is part of the national charity Hearing Voices Network which creates spaces for people who hear voices, see visions or experience paranoia to talk freely about their experiences. These symptoms are sometimes referred to as ‘psychosis‘. They challenge negative stereotypes and raise awareness of different ways of coping with distressing or difficult voices or other sensory experiences. They have support groups across the country, where people with lived experience can meet and support one another.

Sheffield Hearing Voices Network

Sheffield Hearing Voices Network (HVN) is open to anyone who experiences paranoia or hearing voices. The group is facilitated by people with personal experience of paranoia and hearing voices. You can self-refer to the group and you do not have to be accessing mental health services to attend. You can meet with one of the facilitators before attending if you find the prospect of attending daunting.

The group provides a supportive, informal environment where people can share their fears, worries and ways of coping that have worked for them.

The Sheffield HVN Group runs every Monday (except Bank Holidays) from 11am – 12pm at Gardeners Rest, 105 Neepsend Lane, Sheffield S3 8AT.

Tel: 07590 837694
Email: peterbullimore@yahoo.co.uk

The group is free to attend and works on a drop in basis.
