Phoenix Futures is a national charity that provides services for people with drug and alcohol problems. They offer services within community, prison and residential settings throughout the UK. They also provide various volunteering opportunities.
National Specialist Family Residential Service
In Sheffield they have the National Specialist Family Residential Service which provides an intensive rehabilitation programme for anyone over 18 who wishes to address their issues with drugs and alcohol whilst looking after their child. Their treatment interventions are designed to enable families to become drug free and remain together. Children live on site with their parents; children up to the age of 10 can be supported by the on-site nursery

Most clients are referred by a drug or alcohol worker and payment is arranged with the local authority, or clients can choose to pay for treatment themselves.
Sheffield Housing
Sheffield Housing provides a safe place to live for people recovering from drug or alcohol issues. They offer advice and support to help residents build the skills they need for long-term recovery.
The service has a total of 35 bed spaces:
- 25 single bedrooms in shared housing across 4 shared houses. They all include a single furnished bedroom, shared furnished communal areas lounge ,kitchen bathrooms and outside space. There is also space to engage in confidential advice and the opportunity to explore support from external partners across a wide variety of issues.
- 10 self-contained single flats in Sheffield close to the city centre for people to move on to further into their recovery.
The sites are staffed during the day 9-5pm and have a 24 hour on call service. Residents are given the opportunity to gain life skills and tenancy management skills and when ready to move on they will help to find suitable move-on accommodation.
