Lane End Farm Trust is based on a working farm situated in an area of outstanding natural beauty in the Peak District National Park in North Derbyshire. They provide an environment where disabled and disadvantaged young people can connect with nature and animals.
Activities and Support
Lane End Farm Trust caters for children and young people, aged 8-25, from all walks of life with learning difficulties and behavioural problems.
Young people are helped through the provision of indoor and outdoor activities, including horticultural projects, animal care, cooking, equine, dog grooming, play therapy and wood work. More information on the activities offered can be found in the activities section on the website. They can also provide educational opportunities using the AQA unit award scheme, Asdan and various diplomas for those wishing to gain qualifications. They work closely with local schools to provide unique and enriching experiences for young people and maintain positive relationships with professionals within educational and social care.
Personal development is encouraged through interaction with our staff, other young people and the animals throughout the day during and during various projects.
The farm runs with the support of volunteers who do a wide range of tasks.
