The British Tinnitus Association (BTA) is an independent charity that supports people who experience tinnitus. They are the main source of support and information for people with Tinnitus in the UK. They aim to encourage prevention through their educational programme, and campaign for effective treatment for tinnitus through a medical research programme.

The helpline – 0800 018 0527 – is open Monday-Friday 9am-5pm. The online chat is accessed via their website.
In Sheffield, there is also a Tinnitus Support Group that meets at the Hallamshire Hospital Medical School. At present this group is running online. For more information call 0114 226 1314.
