Brunsmeer Awareness Football Club run free weekly football sessions that are mental health friendly. They welcome people from all backgrounds and all levels of fitness and ability, whether you’ve played in the past or the game is new to you.

The Brunsmeer Awareness FC open session is on a Tuesday afternoon at Goodwin Sports Centre, 1.30pm – 3pm.

*Update on Brunsmeer Tuesday Open To All Football session Feb 2024:
They are scaling back the Tuesday football sessions for a period to focus on the mental health friendly element. Therefore only people who are actively receiving mental health support from SHSC can attend, so please don’t just turn up. If you feel like you fit this criteria then please contact either thomas.butler@shsc.nhs.uk or callum.summerscales@shsc.nhs.uk for further information.

They also run another session each week on a Wednesday specifically for women.

Sessions include a kick about and skills training, and they have encouraged some of their members to start working towards a Level 1 Coaching Certificate.

Brunsmeer Awareness is group run by Sheffield Flourish.

Please note: events may not be running on bank holidays and over the Christmas period. Please double check with the organiser (before attending) if you are unsure.
