I need urgent help! What to do in a crisis

Sheffield Domestic Abuse Coordination Team (DACT)

Sheffield Domestic Abuse Coordination Team have responsibility for domestic abuse services in Sheffield.

The services they commission are:

Sheffield Domestic Abuse Helpline - 0808 808 2241

currently provided by Action and is available Monday - Friday 8.00am - 8.00pm (not bank holidays)


You can call the helpline to talk about the abuse with an experienced worker and/or work through which services might work best for you. Or you can email the helpline on  help@sheffielddact.org.uk to ask for advice and information.

The helpline offers:

  • advice, support and safety for people experiencing domestic and sexual abuse
  • a service to women, men, children, young people, practitioners and worried family members
  • up-to-date access to services in Sheffield and available refuge spaces

Their helpline and email service can arrange access to an interpreter if you need one.
