Roundabout provides accommodation and support for homeless young people or those at risk of homelessness. Roundabout offers advice and support, life skills, literacy training and other activities, including access to an Alcohol Support Worker and Money Advice Service. Young people gaining permanent accommodation can also receive ongoing resettlement support to help them retain their tenancies.
Roundabout's range of services include:
- Direct Access Hostel (St. Barnabas Rd) - Offers direct access emergency accommodation to people aged 16-21
- Supporting Tenants Service - (formerly Stencil) supports young people aged 16-25 living in council, housing association or private rented accommodation. The service works in partnership with young people to enable them to develop the skills necessary to maintain their tenancy and empowering them to continue this once support has been withdrawn.
- Resettlement Team - (formerly 'Supported Housing' and 'Transitional Housing') provide accommodation and support to young people aged 16-25 currently in Roundaboutâ??????s managed, supported accommodation for young offenders, care leavers and generic homeless young people
- Homeless Prevention Service - is a drop-in service based at 22 Union Street, Sheffield S1 2JP and is open Monday to Friday from 1-4pm. It offers advice, mediation and support to young people aged 16 to 24 who are close to becoming homeless due to family relationship breakdown.
The hostel is open 24 hours, 365 days per year.
