Nightstop South Yorkshire
Nightstop works to provide free emergency accommodation for young people who are in immediate housing crisis or at risk of homelessness. The project works with homeless and vulnerable people aged 16-25 and provides overnight accommodation in the homes of trained and vetted volunteer ‘hosts’ who will provide a clean and safe environment along with an evening meal, breakfast and a ‘listening ear’ if required.
Young people can be referred by professional agencies between 10am-4pm Mon-Friday and young people can be placed for up to 14 nights whilst a more permanent solution can be found.
Nightstop launched in Sheffield in September 2016, however the Nightstop UK network has been operating for 30 years all across the UK.
