I need urgent help! What to do in a crisis

Mental Health Action Group Sheffield (MHAGS)

MHAGS is a user-led, committee-run organisation for those who suffer or have suffered from a mental illness. MHAGS offers a safe space for people to meet others for support, take part in activities, be in a secure social setting and make new friends.

Activities include:

  • Arts and Crafts
  • Pool
  • Table Tennis
  • Days out
  • Basic computer lessons
  • Computeres with internet access

Also available is an open lounge with tea and coffee making facilities and a kitchen with discounted meals open Mon-Fri 12.00-2.00.

MHAGS also provides information on mental health services, welfare benefits or other voluntary mental health organisations. The service is open to people over 18 years old living in Sheffield.

To become a member, you can download a form from the website which must be signed by your GP or other health professional.
