Leonard Cheshire Disability
Leonard Cheshire Disability is a national UK charity supporting disabled people.
They provide a 'Support at Home' service in Sheffield which helps people to live independently in their own homes. They support people of all ages with differing needs, including older people, people with mental health issues and people with physical and learning disabilities.
They provide support to people who are in receipt of a health & social care budget. The cost of your support services will vary according to what you want. Once they have discussed this with you they will provide a full breakdown of how they can support you and what it will cost.
Their support can include:
- Personal care - including getting up, washing and dressing, and taking medication.
- Help around the home - including cooking meals / preparing drinks, cleaning, home maintenance, washing and ironing, food and general shopping.
- Help when youâ??????re out and about - including hospital and GP appointments, hairdresser and other appointments, taking part in sports, social outings, visiting friends and going to work or college.
They also offer support for you at home following a return from hospital, and short breaks (including breaks for carers).
They provide support outside of this so please contact them to discuss your particular needs.
They also have a Registered Care Home based at the same address which has 39 permanent beds and 1 respite bed for people aged 18 years and over.
