Interchange Sheffield CIC
Interchange provides counselling services to young people under the age of 25.
COMMUNITY YOUTH TEAM SERVICE: The counselling outreach team is able to provide some counselling and therapy at Star House and out in localities to vulnerable young people referred to the Community Youth Team service. Please see the CYT website for referral forms: www.sheffield.gov.uk/cyt
The Community Youth teams have a particular focus on young people at risk of becoming NEET (not in education, employment or training) or 8 to 17 year olds who have had recent first contact with the police or are at risk of offending, but other vulnerable groups will be considered for counselling support via this route.
YOUNG CARERS: Interchange can also offer a service to 10 to 25 yr olds who are or who have been young carers, via the VOYCE project: www.chilypep.org.uk/voyce
EDUCATION: Interchange also has a counselling/art therapy service operating in some primary and secondary schools or colleges and can also see individual students if they can be funded by school or college. For further info, contact Education Services Manager, Leah Booker, via the office or firstname.lastname@example.org
HEALTH & SOCIAL CARE: Vulnerable young people who have difficulty accessing statutory support can also be referred, again, if they can be funded by a GP or other statutory agency.
