Green Estate Ltd
Green Estate is a not-for-profit social enterprise company based at Sheffield Manor Lodge who cater for people with learning disabilities, mental health issues, physical impairments and/or sensory impairments, long term health conditions and people on the autistic spectrum.
Green Estate offers work experience and social activities for people who are in receipt of a Health & Social Care budget. They currently have 3 main programmes available which aim to increase confidence, ensure ownership of areas of work, develop life skills, expand personal horizons & friendships as well as the chance to learn and gain work experience:
- Manor Oaks Farm - A chance to be part of a real working farm environment with a variety of tasks available. You could be looking after their animals, learning about the propagation of fruit and vegetable crops grown and harvested for sale in their Farm Shop - which you can assist in running. You will also be able to help turn seasonal produce into tasty jams, soups, pies and soft drinks, and try making seasonal crafts.
- Cook, Lunch & Learn - With direction from their on-site chef the Cook, Lunch & Learn team cook and eat together making a wide range of dishes. The group are extending the range and type of foods they enjoy, learning how to cook for themselves and others at home and gaining confidence in working in a kitchen environment. The group produce goods for sale at events.
- Manor Oaks Crafts - An arts and crafts group where participants do a wide range of creative activities such as felt making, glasswork, sculpture, mosaic, painting and print making and more. Led by a professional artist each individual gains accreditation for their unique work through the Awards Scheme.

They have also managed the redevelopment of Sheffield Manor Lodge and manage the Discovery Centre there which has a purpose built education and visitors centre containing a community archive, resource library and texts related to the estate. There is also an on site cafe and both the Discovery Centre and the Turret House are available for hire for meetings and events.
