I need urgent help! What to do in a crisis

Greave House Farm Trust

Greave House Farm Trust is a retired dairy farm on the outskirts of Sheffield that has been developed as a Care Farm. They have a small number of animals and also grow food to sell locally and there is a small orchard.

They have volunteers from the local area and also support a small number of adults with learning disabilities to take part in work on the farm and develop independent living skills.

There are a number of jobs and activities that people can be supported to do including:

  • Looking after and/or feeding the animals (including rabbits, guinea pigs, sheep, poultry, horse and beekeeping)
  • Planting and growing fruit and vegetables
  • Cooking, baking and making jam using the farm produce
  • Selling produce on a market stall
  • Creative crafts

There is also the opportunity to enjoy social events and a number of one-off events throughout the year - see website for details.
