I need urgent help! What to do in a crisis

Community Recovery Service (formerly SPACES)

The service offers a range of short term psycho-education courses and groups for people with mental health issues.

The aim of the service is to build resilience and help individuals to develop positive coping strategies; to enable them to manage their mental health and prevent the need for longer term support.

The courses/groups they run are:

  • Anxiety Management
  • Managing Depression
  • Transitions Group (for 16-25 year olds)
  • Bipolar Self Management
  • Relaxation
  • Recovery Education Programme
  • Understanding Borderline Personality Disorder (BPD)

Referrals can be made by Community Mental Health Teams, IAPT Services, GPs and other specialist services.
